The rest of our family...

I haven't properly introduced the rest of our family! We have 2 puppies, most of the time are adorable, but sometimes they are trouble makers! Latte (our toy poodle) likes to snuggle, and that's really about it. Linus (the big dog, we don't really know what he is exactly) has to be in the middle of everything and is very playful. They are best friends, and when they cause trouble, they do it together. Here's some pictures of our furry side of the family:

Latte' is in desperate need of a haircut. Mike was trying to get her to take a picture, but I was working on the tree so she had to stare at me to make sure i didn't disappear (one of her worst fears) The whole night she laid on the couch watching us, I just know she was thinking we had lost our minds, again.

Mike got Linus to sit still for this picture. Linus is a handful for sure, I will have to share some of the many stories! He's become a really great dog, and he loves to snuggle up too. He thinks he's the same size as Latte' and tries to sit on our laps, climb on the couches, and of course snuggle up on the bed. Doesn't he look innocent here!

While Michael was trying to get the lights on the tree, Linus had to come up and see what was going on. He kept walking all over the lights and standing really close to the tree! We finally got him to lay down. Michael took a break from stringing the lights into the tree to take a picture!

After our adventure of driving out to Green Needles and not having a way to pay, we went to a smaller Christmas Tree Farm and found the one. :) We didn't want our tree to be quite as big as last years, and we found a perfect one! I quite love her! So we picked our tree, tied it to the top of the X-terra, and drove home!








While at home, we pulled out all our handy Christmas color coded bins full of decorations! I love these, and I wrote exactly what was inside on the top of the bin. When we put these away, I will make an exact list and place it on top so if we are looking for anything in particular, it will be listed there!








I skipped a lot of our progress pictures, but here's the finished project! I wanted to change up the colors again, but Michael, the budget-savvy one said we needed to stick to what we have. So blue and silver it is again this year. It still looks gorgeous! There are some hints of red on the tree mixed in there too. I'm actually liking that combination, so I may add some more reds in the mix!












We weren't sure where to hang our long garland this year, and I thought over the large window in the living room. I LOVE it!












And, this is Michael with his new cell phone. ALL DAY. I mean, I love Christmas, but he's usually the one that is obsessed with Christmas, but today I had to beg him to help me decorate the tree, because he kept looking at his phone!
















How's your tree looking this year? Do you have any traditions like going and cutting down your own tree, or using the same ornaments each year- or are you like me and get bored by one color all the time?

Ash: Yeah, I like that one. It's tall and skinny...
Hey, do you have the checkbook, or did you bring cash?


Mike: Umm, neither. I have my wallet.


Ash: Baby, don't you remember last year, we had to write a check. let's go, say goodbye to the cute Christmas tree.
