just a not-so-small or little update

I know I keep promising to post more consistently.

And I really mean to.

But life has just been getting in the way.

Blogging is important to me- it's a way for me to document what's been going on in our lives- but I just can't seem to find the time these days.

It is photography season- which means I am pretty much working my normal full-time job and a part-time job.  On top of keeping up with my crawling/standing/cruising 7 month old! I think I may be going just a little crazy ;) But the thing is- I love this photography stuff.  I wouldn't be able to do all of this if I didn't.  And having 4 photo-shoots just this week alone is really exciting to me! Things are picking up- I have 3 more weddings this summer which I am so super thrilled about shooting.

But it's difficult.

It means that other things are getting tossed to the back burner- NOT my family. That is not an option for me.  I try to make a very conscious effort to put my computer away (and we even cut off our internet and cable at home for the time being) when I am playing with Emmie.  That time is precious precious to me. I mean there is nothing sweeter than her crawling around all over the floor and me and laughing and doing her sweet baby squeals.  Nothing better at all.  My favorite is when she's crawling and catches a glimpse of her own reflection.  Melt my heart right then and there! She looks up and sees another baby there and starts laughing and talking to her reflection! Then she crawls over to it and tries to touch her.  Such a social little baby.  (She does this with babies in real life too- not just her reflection).

Anyways, my "free" time these days is spent editing.  Which is great. I love posting these pictures that we have so much fun taking and I love sending my clients their discs with all their pictures from their sessions! Makes me so honored that they chose me to document this special moment in their lives!

So, I'm not going to put any pressure on myself to post a certain number of times, but when I have the time I'll post. May be a quick little picture or video here and there, or it may be a random post like this one! I just want to preserve our memories as best as I possibly can. :)

And I'm not one to post and talk about all these photo shoots without pictures! Be sure to check out www.ashleyeiban.com or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ashley-Eiban-Photography/170682202942773 for more of these pictures!
