Being Intentional

What a subject.  After Christmas and seeing the addiction to technology all around us, we have decided to be more intentional when we are together as a family.

The tv doesn't constantly have to be turned on, Facebook doesn't need to be checked, and cell phones can be turned on silent for an evening.  In fact, this may be our one 'new years resolution' for the year.  To make sure we are spending quality time together as a family- not sitting in the same room but on our cell phones, etc.

With Emmie quickly growing up, we want her to know what quality family time is- dinner without cell phones and the tv on.  Not saying that every evening has to be like this, but we certainly do not want evenings without this.

Sooooo sweet. I need to make more of an effort to stay away from technology when my kids are home from school!
