Valentines Day has never been a huge holiday for us. It is nice to have a day to celebrate our love, but I think we are pretty good about doing that every single day.
I pretty much ruined Michael's Valentines Day plans by getting sick on Sunday night. I didn't go into work on Monday because I still was not feeling good at all, and because I didn't want to get anyone else sick {one of the many joys of working in cubical land- close quarters!}
When I gave Michael his gift, poor guy had to tell me that he had gone into work on Sunday and put flowers and other things on my desk for me.
Tuesday morning, when I got to work, I saw his beautiful flowers.
He not only picked out tulips {the flower he gets me every year for Valentines Day} but he had the florist fancy them up a bit with more greenery and a bow. So thoughtful!
He also left a ton of little notes all over my cube!

| I just found this one today {Wednesday} I have no idea where he left it, it was just sitting on my desktop today. I'm thinking maybe it was on my computer and the cleaning lady found it. Embarrassing! ;) |
He did such an awesome job. He even picked me up a slice of cheesecake at the grocery store! I was feeling better by Monday afternoon, so I put together dinner and we ate it together on the couch and watched re-runs of How I Met your Mother and House.
How was your Valentines? Do you guys go all out or are you pretty low-key like us?

awww im so sorry you weren't feeling well. :( bummer. but man, i gotta tell ya.. im a little jealous of all the sweet things your hubby did for you. He is a keeper!
